Throw Away The Key
There are many new lockset options which now eliminate the hassle of keys. Fingerprint locks, keypad locks and remote-controlled locks are becoming more affordable and easier to use. “Technology has improved over the past three years for fingerprint locks,” says John Goo, with Akme Lock, based in Issaquah, Washington. “The locks are much more reliable now. In the beginning there was a high reject rate, but now they generally work the first time.” Goo explains that high humidity may cause difficulties with fingerprint locks though.
