Peering the Poles

by Frank Sabatini Jr.

Visitors to the Ordover Gallery at the San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park are afforded a chilly look at the unforgiving landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctica in an exhibit of images taken by leading photographers from National Geographic. The photos capture the mass breeding grounds of king penguins and other abundant wildlife that surprisingly exists in these coldest, most rugged regions of the planet. The show continues until May 4, 2008.
