New Year Resolution Tips
As we start the New Year, many of us will come face to face with one of the most popular resolutions — the decision to get fit.
What can I do to really make it happen this year?
First, set goals. Reasonable goals with specific timelines. Think slow and steady progress.
How can I make sure
I stick to my plan?
Plan your workout times so they fit in with your regular daily routine. Carry adequate water and snacks with you to avoid impulse junk food buys. Tell friends and family about your plans for support. Maybe you’ll even get a workout buddy as a result!
What do I do if I fall off the wagon?
Get back on. You should actually expect to falter now and then. It’s natural. Just don’t hesitate too long or beat yourself up for any disruption. Get back to your fitness routine as soon as you can.
I get bored easily. What can I do about that?
Choose activities you actually like and there’s a strong likelihood that you’ll stick to your plan longer. Detest running? Try cycling. Not big on fruit? Make a smoothie. Make it fun and don’t be afraid to change things up and get creative.
