The mission of Home of Guiding Hands is to provide quality services, training and advocacy for people with developmental disabilities, their families, and others who will benefit.

For more than 40 years, Home of Guiding Hands has been providing a nurturing environment for adults with mental retardation and related disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Home of Guiding Hands operates 27 residences throughout San Diego’s East County area, and also provides in-home respite and community living services for children and adults throughout San Diego County.
This year’s 35th Annual Gala “Treasures from the Far East” will bring the sights, sounds and culinary delights of China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore and the Philippines to The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Honorees are Lynne and Stephen Doyle, long-time supporters of Home of Guiding Hands, who invite everyone to enjoy this very special evening and help support this unique organization. Tickets are $200 each; there is a special $125 per ticket price for first-time attendees.
