Creating Better Emotional Health For Yourself
by Michele Krauss
—[ five steps ]—
1 Take care of you. Take time to relax, exercise, eat well and spend time with people you enjoy.
2 Choose to find the positive aspects in life experiences, instead of focusing on the downside. When something negative occurs in your life, it can also be seen as an opportunity for growth and understanding.
3 Let go of the past. Don’t waste precious energy rehashing past events. Live in the moment, and make the best of what you’ve got now.
4 Talk positively to yourself. We send ourselves so many messages every day. Each day, strive to make those messages more positive than negative.
5 Develop a positive plan for the future. Even though you can only work on them one day at a time, making long-term goals for yourself and your family can bring a sense of hope and optimism into your life.

So get out your pen and begin today!
1. The sun is shining. 2. My dog loves me…
